End User License Agreement (EULA)
By installing or using Easy Corona ("the Software") you accept this agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
1. Versions of the software
Easy Corona is offered in three versions:
- Free: it lets you try the Software at no cost and without a license key. It works at reduced resolution, shows a watermark and does not allow saving or exporting images.
- Premium and Premium+: they are paid and are activated with a license key. What each one includes is described on the Easy Corona website and in the Software itself.
A new version of the Software will not remove features from the paid version you have already bought.
2. License to use
The Owner grants you a non-exclusive, personal and non-transferable license to use the Software. You may use it for personal or professional purposes.
- Paid versions: each license is for ONE (1) computer and is activated on it the first time (that time an internet connection is needed). If you change computers, you may move the license to the new one: first deactivate it on the old one (License menu, "Deactivate on this computer") or, if you no longer can, write to us and we will release it so that you can activate it on the new one.
- Free version: you may install it on as many computers as you want.
- The images you obtain with the Software from your own photographs are yours. You may use them as you wish, including for commercial purposes.
- Practice photos: the Software lets you download some eclipse photographs taken by the Owner (zu2pic) to practice with. They remain the property of the Owner and are only made available to practice with the Software: they are encrypted and only Easy Corona opens them. The images you obtain with them carry the "© zu2pic" watermark and you may only use them for personal, non-commercial purposes, crediting the author and without removing the watermark.
- You are only granted the right to use the Software. The Software and its intellectual property rights remain with the Owner (except for the third-party components in section 9).
3. License key
- The license key is personal and registered to the email address you bought it with. Do not share it, publish it or transfer it to other people.
- Upgrade from Premium to Premium+: Premium owners can move to Premium+ by paying only the difference. The new Premium+ key replaces the Premium key, which can no longer be used or transferred separately.
- If you lose your key, write to the contact email and we will send it to you again.
4. What you may not do
- Share, sell or publish your license key, or create keys or programs that imitate them.
- Circumvent or disable the limitations of the free version or the license checks.
- Resell, rent or sublicense the Software.
- Decompile or reverse engineer the Software, except where the law expressly allows it (for example, for interoperability).
- Decrypt or extract the practice photos, redistribute them or remove the watermark from the images obtained with them.
You may share the Easy Corona installer with other people: without a key of their own, it will work for them as the free version.
5. Updates
- Paid versions: the purchase includes the updates released during one (1) year from the date of purchase. After that year, the Software keeps working with no time limit with the last version included. Later versions may require a renewal.
- Free version: you may update it whenever you want.
- Updates may fix errors and add or improve features.
6. Support
Support is provided by email (zu3run@gmail.com). All enquiries are answered, but without a guaranteed response time. If something fails, it usually helps to send the "registro.txt" file from the Easy Corona settings folder (on Windows, %APPDATA%\EasyCorona; on Mac, Library > Application Support > EasyCorona, inside your user folder).
7. Your files and your privacy
- All the processing is done on your computer. The Software does not send your photographs, your projects or any other data to anyone.
- When a paid license is activated or deactivated, the Software connects once to the Easy Corona server and sends the key and an anonymous fingerprint of the computer (see the privacy policy). Once activated, the license is checked without an internet connection.
- When it opens, the Software checks the Easy Corona website for a new version, without sending any of your data (this can be turned off in the Help menu). Otherwise, it only connects when you choose to: to download a new version, to open the Easy Corona website from the License menu, to download the practice photos or, if you give your consent, to subscribe your email to the new version notices (see the privacy policy).
- We recommend that you keep a backup of your original photographs before processing them.
8. Purchase, payment and withdrawal
- Licenses are bought through the store indicated on the Easy Corona website. Its terms of sale apply to the payment, invoices and refunds. That store may act as the seller.
- If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have in principle 14 calendar days to withdraw from the purchase. As this is digital content delivered immediately, you lose that right when, with your express consent and acknowledging that you lose it, you receive the license key or the download begins. This is provided for in article 103.m) of the Spanish consolidated General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users and in article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU.
- The free version exists precisely so that you can check, before buying, that the Software works with your photographs and your computer.
9. Third-party components
The Software includes open-source libraries by other authors, each with its own license (MIT, BSD, Apache 2.0, LGPL 2.1, among others). They include EclipseTools (tse-tools), NumPy, SciPy, OpenCV, scikit-image, numba, rawpy/LibRaw and Pillow. Their copyright notices and full licenses are in the "AVISOS_DE_TERCEROS.txt" file, in the installation folder. Those licenses apply to those components over this agreement.
10. Warranty
The Owner has taken every care for the Software to work well, but does not guarantee that it is free of errors or compatible with every camera, RAW format, computer or configuration. That is why the free version is offered, so that you can try it first.
If you are a consumer, you keep in any case the rights the law grants you regarding the conformity of digital content. This agreement does not limit them.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Owner is not liable for indirect damages (such as the loss of data, images or working time) arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the Software. In any case, the Owner's liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the license.
These limitations do not apply to damages caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence, or to cases in which the law does not allow liability to be limited.
12. End of the license
The license ends if you breach this agreement. In that case, you must stop using the Software and uninstall it.
13. Changes to this agreement
The Owner may update this agreement in future versions of the Software. Each version is governed by the agreement that accompanies it. The changes will not take away what you have already bought.
14. Governing law and courts
This agreement is governed by Spanish law.
- If you are a consumer, the courts of your place of residence will have jurisdiction.
- In all other cases, the courts of the Owner's place of residence will have jurisdiction.
